    Default Vent pipe Cap???

Anyone ever seen one of these? I found it on a single wide in a rural area. I can't imagine why they would want a carbon filter on a rural home.......

Environmental wacko is still a wacko no matter where you find them. It is about feeling good about your self. The need for warm fuzzys.

So they can reduce the venting potential of the plumbing vents and instead force some of their own sewer gas back into their trailer ... oops ... double wide.

These folks must of had some nasty eating habits to need filters on there vent stacks. There nearest neighbor was a 1/4 mile away!!!

Are they supposed to replace that thing at any time or just move out before the filter clogs up?

From the installation instructions, that "sock" of activated charcoal is already basically blocking the vent at the time of its installation.

What happens when the "sock" material breaks and that slug of activated-but-clogged charcoal drops down the vent to the bottom of the stack and doesn't make that turn into the waste/sewer drain?
