and I have pointed this out on each applicable stove.

Every time I do it realtors roll their collective eyes.
And I always say - If this info prevents one child from getting burned,
or injured, them I have done my job.

I like to think of home inspectors as emergency responders - that
 show up before the fire.

What could possibly be more disheartening that the death of a toddler!

 I'm sad.

Police say an 18-month-old child has died after a stove fell on him.
Lt. Ted Snodgrass says it happened about 2:40 p.m. Sunday at a home on East Charleston
 Boulevard.
He says the boy opened the oven door, which somehow caused the stove to tumble over and
 crush him.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center's pediatric ward, where he was pronounced
 dead.
Snodgrass says it's still unclear who was supervising the young boy.
Detectives from police abuse and neglect detail and officials from Child Protective Services are
 investigating.

I constantly call out missing anti-tip devices. From 1980 through 2008, CPSC staff is aware of 38 fatalities associated with range tipovers. In 2011, the standards for oven doors were modified to make ovens more tip resistant, but anti-tip devices are still required.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.
