Free online electrical+ forensics class May 20

Our May 20 talk will be too good to hold off till the pandemic is mopped up, SO . . .
We?re doing it online?complete with CEUs for any IAEI member who registers in time and attends the whole program. Go to register by sending in your name, chapter, and ideally your member number to <www.iaei.org/georgewashington> Registration is open NOW. If you don?t have the number handy, look it up before the class.
PROGRAM: Forensic Investigation of Fires and Electrical Incidents
How do investigators figure out whether wiring really was responsible?

PRESENTERS: We?re going to hear from two PEs who are serious experts: Matt Benefer and Robert Neary, of SEA Limited. One?s a Master Electrician and former Electrical Contractor, trained in forensic investigations; the other is a experienced graduate fire engineer doing similar work. They?ve published important research on questions that matter to us, such as ?Just how bad a receptacle connection does it take to glow or arc?? WHO: Everyone's welcome: AHJ and TPI inspectors and plan reviewers, electricians, engineers, and home inspectors. IAEI members will receive 2 hours of IACET- and ICC-approved CEUs. If you?re not yet a member, you can join in a few minutes at WWW.IAEI.ORG. Nonmembers are welcome to attend so long as there are spots unfilled by IAEI members. (There is of course a chance that a nonmember might be bumped by a late-registering member.)
Our meeting location is currently closed due to the pandemic. But that?s not going to stop us.
