Black and Red Insulated Conductors
This probably isn't worth posting, but I just thought it was strange. Home was built in the mid 1950s and the service equipment is not original. Three-wire NM cable with ground. The black insulated conductor was wrapped with red tape and the red insulated conductor was wrapped with black tape.
Huh?

Re: Black and Red Insulated Conductors
What comes to mind first is that someone was trying to keep phase colors the same, and missed the easy solution of swapping colors in the breakers.

Re: Black and Red Insulated Conductors
Representing A-Phase and B-Phase.
Really does not matter on 240 volt single phase.
