    I like your website too Jim. Especially that first page- guide the user down a path specifically for them.

    Here's a slightly different video, one to send to buyers with the confirmation of the inspection;

    Do folks really look at things on YouTube? Seriously, I only hear of people going to YouTube when they have nothing else to do but not to find a service, contractor or anything else like that.

    Can you track business back to a video on YouTube?

    Good question-

    YouTube, in this example, serves two purposes;

    1. As a free video hosting service. The video is visible on these companies' websites- and that is where people usually see them.
    2. To help with exposure in web searches. When the keywords and tags are set properly, a prospective client might find your website and also find your video, oftentimes both on page one. So you link your website from the video, not vice-versa as your post suggests.

    So, one is not professional unless they have a You Tube video?

    When was that point made? I don't know that this was ever said, but in the case of agents seeing this level of communication from one company and not from another, their perception could very well be that the company with less resources, less branding, and no videos is perhaps less professional. Not necessarily my personal opinion, but the perception is what you want to focus on.

    Is this a service you also provide (custom videos) or do you know who does them ?

    Nathan

    My post was based on the title of the thread,

    Showing the sellers that you are a professional!

    We do them, the original shots we outsourced and created 8 videos out of. The original shooting was expensive, but customizing is cheap- and you can get any one you want quoted by contacting Mike Doerr at my office. All are $400 or less.

    SP,

    One item for thought here is that the URL for the video is being directly sent to the listing agent and hopefully they will actually send it to the seller.

    Not a bad idea to push some marketing visibility.

    Easier when the URL for the video is 'live' in your e-mail.

    I have an "old-fashioned" e-mail that I occasionally send to a listing agent requesting it be sent to the seller/owner that has bullet points of the same items noted in the video.

    That is "way boring" ... but maybe somewhat effective. On the other hand the video is just more intriguing and catchy.

    Then ... I have to remember to get the listing agent's contact information as I usually have no real need to ever communicate with them to begin with.
