    Label is too small to read, but the water heater looks very old. In my area it is unusual, but not unheard of.

    You are correct, sir. I stand corrected.

    I had a 2010 heater last week that was labeled installed this year. I reported both the manufacturers date and the "plumber's" label. Old stock is possible, I suppose, but 3 years in the warehouse? Not gonna happen.
