    Default Strike Plate Problem

This strike plate appeared to be slightly misaligned. For that matter, the door to go along with it seemed to be missing.

    Suggestions?

So ... was there a door somewhere in the house with a plumbing fitting where the strike plate is supposed to be?
Hey! We just got 'em mixed up! No biggie!

    John,

Fortunately, you did not open that camouflaged 'invisible' door, that is the door to ... The Twilight Zone.

My guess is that an over zealous plumber cut the door out with his saws-all to make room for the drain pipe.

Look like something from one of those episodes from the "Trading Spaces" show on HGTV.

It will continue to be misaligned until they put the other screw in it.
