    Default Air conditioner?

I looked at what I believe to be an AC compressor unit yesterday that looked pretty old and is made by Energy Knight. The info on the ID plate indicates heat controller, inc. Jackson, Michagan. I'm not sure if this would be a heat pump or not. Can anyone tell me any information on this unit? or how old it might be? The house does have a functioning (American Standard 90) forced air furnace.

    Model QEH24-1
    3240-11-18A

    Serial# 2890416976

    Thank you,

Don't know anything about them, but, based on the serial number the 'typical' date coding many manufacturers use, that was manufactured in the 28th week of 1990 (07/90), making it likely almost 19 years old.

The model number also indicates it is a 2 ton unit.

Heat pump should have a reverse valve. Also wouldn't the thermostat have a emergency setting for resistance heating ?
