SPRINGDALE, Ark. (AP) - Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. has announced a class settlement in a lawsuit over mold and mildew staining problems with its ChoiceDek products.

AERT said Monday that under the settlement in U.S. District Court in Seattle, the company must give customers more information on keeping the decking material clean. Customers who still have trouble can ask their decks be inspected, cleaned and treated with a mold inhibitor.

In some instances, customers may be eligible for additional cleanings, refunds or replacement. Some customers may be awarded credit vouchers for use at Lowe's Home Improvement Stores, which sold the decking.

Lawyers who brought the case get $1.75 million in fees.
