    Default Duct chase diagram

Does anyone have a diagram of a duct chase showing the proper fire/draft stopping at the attic floor level?
I have a vertical duct chase that is open at the attic floor level and trying to get a good visual for a report.
    Thanks, Jim

That's for penetrating through a fire-resistance rated assembly, which is not the case in a dwelling unit.

JP: Yep, but that's all I can find for a vertical duct chase. You do better?

Firestopping chase - in this case it is a plumbing pipe, but the same principle applies to chases with ducts in them.

These are from the IRC Commentary.
