    Default House and Mobile tindaminium

We responded to a structure fire last night. On arrival it was a ordinary structure. As we did our scene size up, we realized the house had 3 double wide mobile homes attached LENGTH WISE the structure was over 350 feet long. We responded in 6 minutes. We saved the house. The mobile mansion was gone on arrival with 3 cars in the handy man attached garage. No one was home. Six hours later a relative drives up and said 15 people lived there, they left for vacation yesterday.
I guess the local building regulators had no problem with the additions.
I go back on shift Monday. I will get you the pictures. Do you all see those type of additions in your area?

Here in Oregon we have a two-trailer maximum. Unless you're on the SE side of town in which case you can get the 'Tonya Harding' variance

350 feet long.... that sounds crazy... I'm anxious to see pictures.

You should submit a story and pix to firehouse or EMS Responder.com. Let all the emergency services people enjoy the story.

Three double-wides, 350 feet long? Isn't the typical length around 60 feet per?

Plus 9 2 car garages Yeah I was thinking that myself. Hell of a mobile home at almost 120 each.

    Figure 3 - 70 foot long mobile homes, that's 210 feet, ... 350-210=140 ...

    ... still, though, that was o-n-e l-o-n-g h-o-u-s-e.

I slowed down to get some pictures. The structure was 280 feet long. There was a house, 2 mobile homes, a handy man addition, 2 car carport, and a 2 car garage.

    Brad,

    Thanks for the photos.

What a mess that is, and was.
