    Default HVAC Twister

Somebody is going to have fun when it comes time to replace this furnace. Access just for servicing it will be an adventure. All the utilities were inside an access area inside the wall located above the kitchen. The furnace is so boxed in that I had to climb over drain lines, AC lines, and avoid stepping in a cutout for a recessed light on the floor in front of the furnace. Either the water heater or ducts will need to be removed to replace the furnace when the time comes

The furnace flue pipe was located less than 1 foot away from the furnace access panels, there was no overflow pan beneath the furnace for the AC coil, and the gas flex line passing through the furnace cabinet was wrong. This system was not installed with any forethought in mind.

Billy, there was a label on the furnace that had instructions for installation of the unit in a horizontal configuration.

    Wayne, yes and yes.
