Default Amalgamated Electric Corp Panel: Breakers?

    Greetings,

Does anyone know who owns Amalgamated Electric Corp these days or know where I can get breakers for their panels?

    Regards!

Never you mind, I don't want a stalker which is exactly why Beachside isn't noticeable upon google maps. Do you have an answer for me? If not, what's your deal, bud?? I just want a few answers. That's why this place is here, isn't it?

Some of us are suspicious of people what appear to be hiding their identity.
Plus, knowing a person's actual location can help with answers.
Plus, I gave you a kind of an answer. I did a search and posted the results. According to internet etiquette, you now have to divulge your location. Bud.

I'm sorry mate, I mean no harm. There is no need to be suspicious.

My location is in the Northern WA area along the coast.

Here is a photo of you uni-panel.
I am asking the same .
Not if its or he is a free bee,
but I need some information on the panel for reference.
I have never seen one before and can not find any material on them.

Hello Robert. In Canada at least, they are found in little old houses built in the 50's.
The panels I've seen are generally well made with copper bus bars.
This one was being used as a remote distribution panel, and I saw no cause for dismay.
It looks as if an electrician was able to find a blue-handled breaker with a label on it.

As with any old no longer available panel, I warn clients they may need to replace them at some point.

    That's great John
Wow I was surprised it goes back to the 50's.
1 breaker keeps on blowing every time a kettle is put to boil.
Its the panel at the ALPINE CLUB OF CANADA HOUSE IN QUEBEC.
    Thanks mate.

    Thanks mate.
From the chart posted by John A above, the DNPL & BR breakers now carried by Cuttler Hammer can be used in the Amalgamated panels. Similar design to the Westinghouse Novalines, I think, but I'm no electrician.

I'm not saying they should be used. IMO, a new panel should be installed.

I would make sure that the problem is not in the wall somewhere, like a partial short from rodents chewing on wiring. Surprised it goes back to the 50's? That looks like the 1850's.

    Maybe it's the kettle?

I'm unsure what a free bee is but I don't really care

I ended up using Commander breakers which were available at our home depot and Wesco up in Vancouver.
