How is a Heat Pump calculated in a demand for service?

Not sure what your question is. If you are talking about electrical demand, you would use the same data from the a/c data plate. Also, need to realize that any supplemental heater load and ahu would be used in addition to, not in place of the heat pump load.

Well, here it is:

The house has one baseboard heater rated at 500W. The furnace is gas (with a blower) with a total load of 12Amps. The Heat Pump, which would act as a cooler as well when reversed (not able to do both at the same time) is rated between 18A and 30A.

Would this be considered part of the heating loads (as the baseboard heaters are)? If not, how would I go about adding this into the demand for service.

If it runs to heat the house, it would be part of the heating load calculation, no?

Beyond the scope of HI, I don't run load calculations, heat or cooling loads.
