Question The New US House of Reps Bill a.k.a. ACESA

As of 6/26/09 The ACESA or American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, will in some way effect all inspectors. Whether you are a HI, MI or an energy/performance rater, this bill will effect you. What should be happening in the inspection arena is a synergy created with all three. Is it possible to have an inspector that knows home inspsection, mold-IAQ and energy rating/performance ? From a mold-IAQ inspector, tightening a home up to stop unwanted air infiltration will have ramifications. Just check out ASHRAE's 62.2 on indoor air. If you want to read the ACESA summary or comments go to www.bpi.org or Alliance to Save Energy | News | Summary of the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (ACES) Discussion Draft

    Follow inspectors, your thoughts ???

Wow! Seems like they covered just about everyone and everything imaginable with lots of mandates that will cost a bunch of money but left out the details of how this will be done. The heavy hand of government at is best (worst?)!
