It doesn't appear that the beam is pocketed into the wall. Needless to say a 1x3 doesn't cut it for appropriate support.

Oh! and after you finish fixing that fascia can you can resupport the main beam in the crawlspace. And if your thirsty you can drink from the hose.

1.Nice beam but it needs a post of equal thickness.
2. Recommend a poly vapor barrier on that dirt.
3. Galvanized plumbing is not popular with insurance companies because it rusts and leaks. Potential deal-killer.
