    Default Another roof flashing question

Ok, I see this all the time with copper flashing. What is going on here, it was like this all around the roof. Was this an after thought, hack job...... Any specific explanations from our roofers out there. It seems like a waste of copper to me

    Thanks
    Mat

I used to see it all the time, copper or galvanized.

    Yes and yes.

Tell them to learn how to install flashings the proper way.

Waste of everything, including the roofer's time and your time.

Maybe they did it to cover up rotten wood at the end grain of the rake.

And catch more water to make the rest rot out even faster.
