    Default Electrical Gutter Boxes

    I did a 4-plex today.

The end of the gutter box that contains the service entrance conductor connection with the house conductors is about 2 feet from a gas meter.

Panels shouldn't be within 3 feet of the gas meter, what about the gutter boxes?

    Brian,

That panels are not allowed within that space as they contain ignition sources - the breakers, fuses, etc.,

The wire gutter is not a problem as it does not contain ignition sources, only wiring and connectors.
