    Default That little spot!

I did a inspection for contractor who inspects energy systems for Navy installations. We got to the electric water heater, a new model, that had a small spot on the shell. It looked more like a buff mark than a burn but I said what the heck, lets take a look. Sure enough the connections were scorched and the plastic casing was melted. Lesson learned - don't ignore marks on the paint around the connections or elements!
