    Default gfci outlet on furnace

    hey all happy halloweeny

    this just didn't look safe to me. is this code. gfci outlet on side of furnace near gas valves

    What would you consider a safe distance from the gas connections?

    IRC requires a receptacle within 25 feet of the HVAC unit. No details about above, below, beside gas connections.

    I would write it up as dumb but ... My guess is they were going to plug the condensate pump into it. The black cord from the pump looks to be going somewhere else though. Do you guys allow flex connections to furnaces?
    Did you check where the hose goes from the pump?
