    Default Chimney

I don't know about this one. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. The home was built in 1975. This is a wood burning fireplace.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

It is ugly, inefficient, the trees are too close, and it looks like a bracket has pulled away from the fascia in the 3rd pic. Is it safe? I can't say. Call for a Level III, I think it is called that down your way.

In my area, we defer all wood-burners to a W.E.T.T. inspector, wood burning specialist. It looks like a homeowner add-on.

2 inch minimum clearance to combustible for the Class A flue. Flue 2 feet higher than roof surface within 10 feet. Ugly, yes, but it can be exposed unless zoning requires a chase.
