    Default old humidifier?

Is this an old humidifier? I have not seen this before. It is in an early 50's Baltimore townhome.

Looks like it's in the same league as this one.

I see them all the time. Especially in newer homes. The winter air can be very dry here.

If Baltimore is an unusual location for humidifiers, what is a usual one?

We have every kind of weather imaginable here in Maryland. You name it, hot, cold, dry, humid.....

When I lived in PA for the first 24 years of my life, I had a tough time with dry skin during the winter. After moving to New Mexico, all of that stuff went away and I had no more trouble with dry skin. No more sinus infections either.
