    Default Happy Holidays!

    Hello Gang and Brian!

As many of you know I've been away from the board for some time. This has been due in part to business picking up and, most recently, our move from Minnesota to Las Vegas! Yup, we finally got the #$#% out of that cold weather! Ha!

I moved my inspection business here as well but renamed it Beacon Inspection Services to better reflect my other inspection services than just home inspecting.

Since the climate is radically different here from what I am used to and the building techniques vary somewhat, I'm sure I will be asking for your expertise and opinions in the near future. Thanks in advance.

I have totally redesigned my web site to reflect the new location and would be happy to add links to web sites of my friends from Inspection News, around the country, if you care to do that. Just let me know with a post or via email!

In the mean time, have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAY Season!!

BK: Welcome back to the forum. Sorry to hear about your recent move to scorched-earth Lost Wages.

Stay out of the casinos, Bob. They'll take your profits (and any other money you can give them) real quick.

You're laughing about getting out of the cold now, my friend. But me thinks you've jumped out of the frying pan into the fires of hell. Las Vegas is REALLY hot during the busy season.

I'll sit on my ass in the cold for a few days in Kentucky instead of months of over heating.

Good luck with your move and rebuilding your business. I hope it goes well for you.

    Merry Christmas!

Hi Bob! Glad to see you back!

It is a lot of fun moving and restarting a home inspection business! Kind of like having a root canal done by a drunk monkey!

It takes time to rebuild the business, it has been about 3 years for me and I can see the a glow at the end of the tunnel!

    Best!!

You don't want to know what the glow is at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for the kind words guys! For years the wife and I have been longing to move out of the cold climate and the housing price slump in LV finally pushed us over the edge. Since we have been vacationing here for a long, long time we are very familiar with the climate and the town, both the positives and the negatives. Also, we are both "warm weather" people. For me, it's "the hotter the better"! I have been here since last April so experienced the heat of a desert summer and compared to the protracted cold of a Minnesota winter, it's a piece of cake!!

We aren't gamblers either except for the occasional $5 in a penny slot. Our downfall is the many great buffets! Ha!

Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year!
