Default My Next Inspection Car 55 Chevy Nomad

Going back to the good old days... I've been wanting to get another 1955 Chevy for a long time. One like this should make a nice inspection car. Lots of room. Not to bad on gas. Sold the last 55 210 post about 15 years back. Time for a new ride...

    Can ya see me now...

Looks good, it should turn a few heads.

I've thought about something like that several times over the years.

It would be a memorable experience for the clients!

I always go back to the dependability and upkeep issue though since I am really spoiled to driving 50,000 miles with no down time other than scheduled maintenance.
Tune-ups every few thousand miles, Lousy A/C, Brakes, handling, etc.

Love the car but working out of one would be... interesting.

However, I had a 49 GMC pickup that I used as a daily driver for a number of years that was actually quite dependable.

Top speed without punishing it was about 50 mph which would not cut it here in the big city on the expressways.

Still it goes through my head quite often!

This is an inspector friend's truck that he rebuilt. Pretty hip ride and it fit's Dave's persona perfectly.
