Certainteed Hallmark Shingles/Shangles
Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to know if any of you out there know anything about Certainteed Hallmark Shingles/Shangles and how to distinguish between the organic and fiberglass versions? The Hallmark is the one that looks like "Tiger stripes" on the shingles themselves. I just read that Certainteed is settling a 600 Million Dollar class action, but it is for the organic shingles only. All help is appreciated.

Older fiberglass shingles might show a little white mesh around the edges that would not be present on organic. You might also see it on a "damaged" corner.

How about any recalls? Every roof I have been on with these "Tiger-Stripe" shingles has had surface cracks/checking, some more than others.
