Default SERVICE SWITCH BY GAS JOINT

    HEY ALL

this is something that always bugs me and i write it up as a possible safety issue. what do you all think. the service switch and door bell transformer so close to a possible leaking furnace gas joint. this always makes me jumpy--if it was my house i would move switch.. don't think it is against code, or maybe it is. justs creeps me out

    what say yee

Not an issue to me in the grand scheme of things. Could it be a problem if joint leaks gas and the light switch is turned on or the doorbell is rung? Yep, it could be. But then jet airliners can also fall out of the sky and onto your home. It's not probable but it is possible!

No different than a door switch on a furnace next to a gas valve.
