Default Vent fan over bahtub ?

Check out this ventfan/light set up... This bathroom has a step in bathtub/shower with a ventfan/light. The ventfan/light can drop down for service or repairs.

My question is. Is this set OK. As the ventfan/light could fall open due rust of the metal parts inside and expose the wires to someone in the bathtub/shower.

    Any input please.

I see Broan makes a similar looking fan that is UL liste for use over a tub/shower when used with a GFCI.

Yes, no, maybe ... see Jim's post above.

You would need to remove the bottom cover/light lens and see what it is rated for, and, yes, it would need to be GFCI protected.

Many units are UL listed for this use if GFCI protected.
