Intake & Exhaust question
Home was built in 2007. Lennox High efficiency furnace installed. In the attic the intake & exhaust were "Y'd" into the same vent through the roof. Is this acceptable??? I thought they were to be totally separate.

Re: Intake & Exhaust question
Concentric vent that all manufacturers can supply as an option to a 2 pipe discharge and intake.

Re: Intake & Exhaust question
Yes that is a concentric vent termination, and is approved by all manufacturers I've ever dealt with. One thing to watch out for though is the vent has to enter the straight end of the termination with the intake at the 45 degree end. If the two lines are reversed the vent gasses can re-circulate into the furnace and cause failures.
