    Default The builder was a "tinkerer"

    About 1980 home. I was there to look at some wall cracks and the foundation. I wanted to look in the attic just to see if there was something related. I wasn't expecting this.

    Wow, nice catch. And they thought the rest of the house was hunky-dory.

    I guess those reflectors can keep you from bonking your head in the dark, it's a safety feature!

    Ok, nothing looks like it's moved, so plywood gussets should fix it. But an SE needs to sign off on the repair. Then he can check the foundation, too.
