Texas Inspectors and energy audits in Austin
What is anyones take on the energy audits here in Austin?Do you think it's worth the money invested to make your money back? Looks like there is alot doing it now but just didn't know how the work would be after your out 5 grand. Just thoughts.

Donnie,
I would be very careful about entering the auditor field. It costs to get trained ($1200 - $1800 for BPI) and to buy the equipment ($1800 duct blaster) that Austin Energy requires. There are a number of guys doing Austin energy audits and I would venture a guess that many are not making much money doing it.
