Default Cast Iron main beam supports

I was in this property today and just had to share this.
I always tell people that I see something new every week.

I don't think these cast iron waste lines are rated for this type of installation.

One of the looked like a 2" and all the others 4".

Considering the fact that cast iron soil pipe is very brittle and impact with a blunt instrument could fracture it, this is certainly not an appropriate use. I would consider it a dangerous situation especially if there are no other supports made of steel.

Who cares about the inappropriate materials used as lally columns. Is that toilet actually working?
