    Default WHOOPPS

    good one!
So i look up through the filter opening as usual just to get an idea of coil condition and what do I see
Must have been there for a few years as the coil was really dirty around it.
Filter was in the unit, but must have been left out with the access panel off to have this sucked up in there.
Or, maybe they were painting the house with the return register covers off.
Needless to say, the guy who serviced it last has some splainin to do.

So why should a home buyer hire an inspector when they can take a quick look around themselves & save $ 500.00 ? Good sleuthing

Most homeowners only know "fresh paint & new carpet."

And, as you already know, in the general population those who know anything about building & systems infrastructure are few and far between.

HUGE catch. The old "deflated helium balloon in the return air caught on the cooling coil" deal. You just saved someone a ton of money and probably stress my friend. You have earned your keep!

Just remember the old Marine motto: "Shoot it may, but Shine it must!"
We don't care if it works well it just has to look good.
