I had to think about this one before writing the report. I saw a wood burning fireplace that the someone had converted to a gas log with pilot light. CSST was used to connect to the log in the firebox by penetrating up through the floor of the firebox through the raised hearth. The CSST must be protected when penetrating the masonry, right? Also, if I read correctly, the CSST may be used to directly connect to the log even though that requires it to be exposed in the firebox? Sorry, no pic. Thanks in advance.
