    Default DIY distribution panel

This is a DIY special. The panel is for a basement, about 2500 square feet. The feeders supplying the panel are dedicated to a 50 amp breaker from the panel right next to the DIY special. The basement is fairly large, with a theater. Obviously I am not a sparky, but is this undersized. Oh yeah and check out the splices, what do you think is under all that tape.

It depends on what the loads are as to if it is overloaded or not. If the loads are two water heaters, a clothes dryer, and a range then it is overload. If it just lights and receptacles it is probably OK. The panel has other problems but that is not what you asked about.
