Default Supply register on shower wall

Aside from the common sense concerns that you don't want water running down the HVAC ducting, and that ducting has been known to become accidentally electrically energized, is there any code provision specifically prohibiting this?

To parallel my question on PVC underground, are you sure that's not a vent? Unlike the PVC thread, that actually looks like a vent that you would see in multi-family housing.

Back when I lived in a condo my cat used to sit on top of the shower door and stare into the vent. I thought that maybe he once saw a rodent in there or something.

    Nope, it's a supply register.
