Default exhaust vent from soffit close to window and siding

In my area, I found lots of vent from soffit too close to the window (right above) & next to siding. Is it more chance to have mositure damage & mold? How can I elaborate this issure to clients. I will attach a photo later on. Thank you.

Not sure what requirement you are thinking of or referring to.

An attic soffit vent can be right at, above, beside, below, a window, in fact the soffit vent could be continuous around the house and above or at every window.

Also not sure what harm you think there is in that placement?

I'm thinking since the title of the thread is "Re: exhaust vent from sofit close to window and siding", P.L. is referring to exhaust vents such as from bathroom exhaust fans, etc. terminating at the soffit (which is a crappy place to put them, esp. close to house with deep overhang, close to windows, and esp. if open eaves or soffit vents present - and moisture end up sucking back up into the attic) and not attic passive vents at the screened soffits or open eaves.

    P.L.:

You haven't posted a picture yet, but you can find a crap load of info at the building science and related sites, some of it specialized for your region (wherever you are in Canada), and your regions various mandates and building practices, with zone maps for temp. rain/snow fall, humidity, etc.
