    Default Laundry Ventilation

    Dumb question-

Is ventilation required in an enclosed laundry room with a gas dryer?

Either a window or mechanical vent to the exterior ( Iknow the gas dryer must be vented to the outside).

    Thanks,
    Mike

Air-to-Air exchanger can service this purpose.

Ventillation for occupied ROOM in addition to needed combustion air AND Make-up air required by the appliance(s).

2006 IRC, Section 2407 addresses this. Code, tables, drawings, etc. should have everything you need.

    M.K.,

"Mike Inpsector" lists location as "California", hence the two post links to posts complete with California Code links imbedded, local definitions, and location specific applications.

Ah, yes I see that now. Young grasshopper must learn from aged scholar to look around bush for bird before looking somewhere else.
