Default furnace condensate line draining into a small hole in the concrete floor???

    Hello all,

Do you ever see the condensate line from the furnace/ac unit drain into a small hole in the basement floor. The hole is just large enough for the condensate line to fit into.
    Is this ok?
Where does the water go? Are they tied into the drain tile, sewer or does the water just go under the slab?
How do you home inspectors comment on this?

    Thank you for your help!

Most likely 1-1/4" PVC pipe under slab running to sump pump basin. In our locale condensate is not allowed to enter sanitary sewer system but must be discharged to surface (usually through sump pump or by use of s.mall condensate pump adjacent to HVAC)
