    Default Boiler vent size increase

Is it always the case that the boiler vent size must increase when you add a water heater vent or are there exceptions?

In this case, a 150,000 BTU Boiler with 40,000 BTU Water heater.

I was thinking it needs to increase but wanted to double check.

    Thanks..

    Jon,
NFPA 54 is pretty clear on venting 2 natural draft appliances but first,
is it a masonry chimney and if so inside or outside?
    chimney size and height?
    any other appliances?
    what is the connector sizes?
it looks like 3" into 6"?
what part of USA are you in?

    Thanks
