    Default Gable roof sheathing

I recently purchased a house, even after the inspector came through I still have questions.
The sheathing on the ends of my gable roofs are covered by the brown fiber board (don't remember the name). I can see that there is no weather proofing between it and the siding. I am not sure if this is correct, either part, or am I just use to seeing OSB or plywood. Is it acceptable by code and just a cheap way of doing construction.

If in fact you had a true home inspection and have questions regarding your home inspection report, I suggest you refer to your home inspection report - READ IT, and if you have further questions, follow-up by contact your Home Inspector with your questions.

You may be referring to celotex, or something similar.
