Default Can anyone date this Lochinvar water heater?

Can anyone date this Lochinvar water heater? See photo. My water heater date charts are inconsistent or confusing with regards to this brand LOCHINVAR. See photo.

Also if anyone has any clear informaiton on dating Lochinvar units, please pass it along to me.

    Thanks

    Gene

January of 2006. First letter of the serial number is the year and 2nd letter is the month.

Nick, thanks, are you pretty sure about the date? This was in a foreclosure that was empty for 2 years, built in 1993. The water heaters looked at least 10 years old, judging from condition (but I know that visual appearance can be misleading with regard to actual age). I would have bet they were 10, maybe a little older, but again,,,not sure.

I'm sure of the date. Also, you can use the ANS date on the label as a rough guide to age the tank. The ANS date on the label in your pic is 2004. Even if you're unsure of the age, an ANS date can give you a rough age estimate.
