    Default Composite decking

Has anybody had any experience with composite decking boards that are deteriorating at surface. The house I just did the boards were flaking at surface or becoming soft and crumbling. It looked like Trex but I couldn't be sure. I did some research but could not find a good site with good information. I did find some sealers even though these products claim to be maintenance free. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
