    Default Is this a problem?

Do you see this as a problem? If so what is the defect?

I originally looked at this as a problem, but the house is 25 years old, no cracks in the block, no signs of stress or leakage - Although it looks funny, I couldn't come up with a reason to write it up???

Well,,,, someone could have at least made an attempt to corbel it. The question I have is what might have the installer done with the interior of the chimney? I'd feel more comfortable if it was checked out just to be sure.

I won't have any hesitation to make a revision to the report and let the client know that upon further thought you felt it best to pursue this. I've done this a few times and have slept better at night.

LeveL II per usual. Is that offset more than 30* from vertical? How did they make the joints? Clearance to combustible joist 2"? Attic insulation shields? Sure, lots of questions here.
