There is a mid 1960's development of Ryan homes that I've done several inspections in, and they all have copper DWV systems

It is more about the age of the house.
Have seen a lot in houses that could afford it when built.

Copper DWV pipes are common in many pre 1965 homes. The ones I have found were usually in what would have been "high end" homes during that time period.

This was 1968 brick rancher. Did not look very high end but was decent. I've seen lots of copper drainage systems in commercial applications but not in residential.
