Are any of you using the Acer w500?

If so what is you opinion of it to use on inspections and what report software are you using?

Everytime I get a new laptop I checkout Netbooks and recently looked at the Acer. I just can't live with a reduced size keyboard and screen. For a very slight increase in size you can get a small IBM/Lenovo, Toshiba, Fujistu or similar that will run circles around a netbook performance wise and has a full size keyboard and larger screen.

The cost is about same if you get a refurbished machine (2-3 years old). Also, the laptop is a business use machine, too. It's got things like shock-resistant HD, spill proof keyboards, etc.

Netbooks just always strike me as being built for a teenager sitting in a mall.... not bouncing around my truck with my dirty hands all over it.

    Just my 2 cents.....

It's not like I am a bit late to this post! I am using the Acer Iconia with 3D and it works great, no issues.

I have one too but don't care much for it. I like a screen that works with a hard tip stylus more than capacative. Otherwise it's okay.
