Default Gas line to new metal fireplace

Galvanized gas line stubbed out in metal fireplace with ceramic liner. Exterior cut off on wall. Damper. Stubbed out metal gas line has a nut on the end. New house!

    Question:

Can this fireplace be used as a wood burning fireplace since the gas logs are not installed?

The short answer is, "If it's approved for wood fires" by the manf.
Most pre-fab fireplaces are approved for both wood and gas logs - but not all.

By the way, I hope there is a cap or plug on the gas line and not a nut.

    Thanks Jack,

Yes, it had a plug or cap on the end!
