Hmmm, wonder how they determined, "extended exposure to the chemical had no lasting effects."

The article's title isn't even proper English! Should be "helps."

Do not think of knocking out another person's brains because he differs in opinion from you. It would be as rational to knock yourself on the head because you differ from yourself ten years ago.

Picky, picky. Don't tell me you're skeptical?

I'm a born skeptic! And a scientist, so I know how statistics can be manipulated, and poorly designed studies can be meaningless.

Let's see... Lower the oxygen content of the blood thereby putting the victim in a reduced awareness level. Reduces stress. Victim is not "tuning out" the traffic noise, they are in a drugged state and the body is struggleing to keep the brain active and is reducing less vital activities.

I think the conclusions drawn from the research are a bit far fetched. Putting a positive spin on harmful effects to the brain.

To find what the ultimate end game of this study is, you simply need to follow the money back to the corprate entity that commisioned the study in the first place. I bet you'll find that whom ever it is they have something to gain by asserting that elevated CO levels are "good for you". jmro

Does explain why so many people get a thrill on visiting New York City.

So, Mexico: don't drink the water, NYC: don't breath the air.......

One cannot read the original article now as the "account has been suspended", so much for this "research"!!

Facts are stubborn, and say what they will. Statistics are much more flexible and can be persuaded to say almost anything. The difference between facts and statistics is simply number... a lot of facts turn into statistics. So, if the facts are against what you want, this means you need more facts; once you have enough, they become statistics and are far more amiable.

By the same logic, eating lead paint as a child probably makes for a much happier adult life, sometimes I would like to be more blisfully ignorant of what is going on around me.
