    Default Hoping to See Less of This in 2012

    My last inspection of 2011.

    #1 - Boiler chimney in attic
    #2 - Boiler flue liner
    #3 - Boiler chimney on roof
    #4 - Hardwood flooring strips used to fill voids between top courses of concrete block on foundation walls in crawlspace
    #5 - More of #4

    Now that is funny. During December and January I say the same thing until work picks up and then wish for all the 3000 sf 5 year old empty, non foreclosure, clean, all utility on type homes

    Don't worry, Nick. Chimneys like that can't last forever.

    One possible reason for the plank shims? The block wall was built to upgrade an old house on posts. The last course was shimmed to fit tight. It doesn't much matter why, though.
