    Default Electrical short cut!

Found this today - one 2AWG wire connected to a 50 amp double pole breaker - traced the wiring to a barn/shed at the back of the property - got power to the building and an automatic perm solution at the same time!! Just wrap the wire for the interior receptacles around the main cable and doo dah - we're good to go!!!

Wow. I wonder what the rest of the place looks like.

Actually, the rest of the house was very nice - built in '97, it was a flip - the re-model was nicely done. I think the original owner thought they could add power to the out building without spending a lot of money.

Congrats on the perm solution, ( good stuff ). With the photos you shared it looks safe to recommend professional review and repair and forget about any further electrical corrections.
