Default this power connections are OK?

I found this inside of hood exhaust vent cabinet.
I could not answer when home owner asked me what the heck of problem will happen if we leave like that.
    Would you help me?

Non-compliant connection, cable not secured, altered product cable, you don't know who is going to put what into that cabinet and with what level of attention; wire nuts could come off leaving exposed wire, exposed wire could come in contact with the ductwork or top of microwave, shock hazard, fire hazard, etc. etc.
    Really?

    Thank you for the answers.
If seller say, never open that cabinet door since buying this home, then I can tell him like this
" What if new owner wants to store a fishbowl in that space?"
Anyway, I learn that inspector must be a pessimist. haha

I agree with all of the above possiblities with what could happen. Fishbowl ? Hmmmm - ok ? I know you're being silly with that comment (I hope), but I would never ever say that to a client. I think it would blow your credibility out of the water ... or ... out of the fishbowl - so to speak !!

The wall outlet and plug in the background are probably serving the microwave oven, which is required by Code to be an independent circuit. If the wiring shown exposed is to the exhaust fan of that same appliance, why wasn't it just wired into the same electrical outlet? Or connected internally within the UL-approved electrical "box" inside of the microwave unit? (....all assuming that it could be considered "one appliance"?)
